Rafest 2008/09

Salam,
As usual i didn't go for the opening neither nor the closing ceremony. We, the karate club opened a stall called Shito Corner, selling 'nasi ayam berempah' and various breads.Alhamdulillah, the selling went well ! My favourite bread was chicken floss, (thanks to Firdaus for the supplied-hehe..). Next year you can promote your bread again! As for the drink, i prefered the 'asam boi'.

Well, there were lots of stall opened, i tried the fried mushroom from Iqraq, float from CC (Computer Club) and medcy, kek batik from GCC (Guidance&Caunceling Club), ice-cream from Madana and many more. There were also stalls selling clothes, books and others.

It was a memorable Rafest for me, i had the chance to get to know other karate-ka more and strengthening our friendship. Thus gaining some profit for our AGD^^.

Oh, the Macfest had ended before i even knew it had started. Not sure whether it had ended or not but i supposed it was. i knew i was lack at reviewing something but i'll try to improve. The problem was because i had no intention to do full review and only want to write a short note about the event.

The exam is going to be after the midbreak, math3 on 9th, Physics3 on 7th and BTQ on 4th. Gdluck for all of us!

Jenazah Workshop

Salam, yesterday I went to Jenazah Workshop , one of the activities held for RAUDAH FESTIVAL (RAFEST 2008/2009), organized by PERKIM Society. The programme started at 9.15am at AMF Hall by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a short brief by the PM and talk by Ustaz Abdul Talib (if I was not mistaken..), then practical of enshrouding if the dead bodies. I really grateful to join the workshop, there were so many things that I had never know. Now, Alhamdulillah, I had gained some knowledge. Thanks to the programme.

Cara-cara mengkafankan mayat:

1. Hukum mengkafankan mayat adalah fardhu kifayah atas orang yang hidup. Perbelanjaan kain kafan diambil dari harta peninggalan si mati. Kalau tiada, maka kafan wajib diatas orang yang menanggung nafkah semasa hidup,jika tidak ada juga maka terserah kepada Baitumal.

2. Bagi memulakan kerja-kerja mengkafankan mayat, bentangkan kain-kain yang sudah siap dipotong dan kemudian diangkatkan mayat dengan perlahan-lahan dan letakkan mayat mengikut ukuran kain. Sumbatkan semua anggota yang berlubang seperti telinga, hidung dan luka –luka dan lekatkan kapas pada mata dan mulutnya.

3. Letakkan kapas yang telah dicampur kapur barus pada anggota tempat sujud iaitu dari hidung dan dua tapak tangna dan lutut serta tapak kaki.

4. Mulakan lipat kain dari sebelah kiri, himpunkan hujung kain kafan di sebelah kepala sebagai serban.

5. Disunatkan meletak mayat atas kain kafan dilebihkan panjang kainnya disebelah kepala daripadad sebelah kaki. Jika kain kafan itu sehelai yang tidak boleh menutupi seluruh badan maka tutuplah kepala dan biarkan kaki di luar.

6. Ikatkan mayat tersebut dengan tali pengikat yang telah disediakan dengan symbol ikatan semua berada di sebelah kiri. Setelah itu angkatkan mayat ke tempat di mana akan diadakan sembahyang dengan mendahului kepala dan diletakkan kepala di sebelah kiri jika mayat lelaki dan kepala sebelah kanan imam jika mayat tersebut perempuan.

Panduan Tidur Mengikut Sunnah Rasulullah S.A.W

Salam, sebagai selingan dan panduan, kali ini nak bagi panduan tidur mengikut sunnah Rasulullah S.A.W, moga dapat kita amalkan dalam kehidupan seharian, ok! Panduan ini dipetik dari koleksi artikel-artikel yang pernah dibaca.

1. Baca doa sebelum dan selepas tidur. Ramai orang tak sedar betapa besarnya fadhilat orang yang berdoa sebelum dan selepas tidur.

2. Jangan halakan kaki ke arah kiblat sebab itu kedudukan orang yang telah meninggal.

3. Baca Tasbih Fatimah sebelum tidur kerana sesiapa yang membacanya kemudian meninggal dalam tidurnya, dikira mati syahid. Tasbih Fatimah: Subhanallah (33x), Alhamdulillah (33x), dan Allahuakbar (33x).

4. Bacalah surah 3Qul dan tiupkan nafas pada tapak kaki kemudian sapu ke seluruh badan untuk menghindarkan diri dari gangguan sihir dan kejahatan manusia.

5. Berniatlah untuk bangun malam untuk melakukan solat tahajud. Fadhilatnya kerana, sekiranya tidak terjaga malam itu, Allah tetap akan memberikan pahala seolah-olah bertahajud sepanjang malam. Antara hikmah solat tahajud adalah ianya dapat membantu menghindari diri daripada gangguan sihir dan kejahatan manusia.

6. Sedia memaafkan kesalahan semua orang yang ada kesalahan dengan kita dan halalkan segala hutang piutang mereka.

7. Tidur cara Rasulullah S.A.W iaitu baring mengiring ke kanan dan meletakkan tangan di bawah pipi.

Sunnah ini elok jika diamalkan selalu, kalau tak mampu amalkan semua, amalkan sedikit demi sedikit pun tak pe, ok, selamat mencuba!

Midterm Exam

Assalamualaikum, right now i'm having mid semester examination for the first semester of my second year. Currently taking MATH 2, PHYSICS 2, CHEMISTRY 2, CHEM LAB 1, CHEM LAB 2 and lastly UNDERSTANDING IN ISLAM. As for the midterm, I was glad that there won’t be any test for lab. I have done with MATH 2 and PHYSICS 2, so tomorrow I was left with another 2 subjects.

As for my grading, it would be held in Kg Pandan on 24th August. Pray for me okay!! I forgot to wish congratulation to those who got double from the last grading which were Aman, Amnah, Diyana and K.Nurul. Congratulation!!

The fasting month are coming soon, I will be waiting for it! I could imagined there would be a lot of if tar organized by various society.

Aah…my English was getting worst each and everyday. I really need to brush up my language. I had totally forgot my Arabic, ha-ha…Insyallah…if there is some free time I would love to study back those two language. My future plan was to learn Mandarin, Japanese and Korean language in 2years time, I would already have the basic in communication and writing, which was my aim, Insyallah, pray for me!! Hope Allah blesses me, Amin…

Second Year

Salam. It was almost 2 weeks after the semester opened. I started my new life as an engineering student. Many things had to be done and got to meet new people. I mean really , many new friends. I estimated one class about 30 students x 6 class ( i took 6 subjects with 6 different group)=180 new friends. I don't think i could memorize all the name, hopefully i could get along with them well. Starting this semester, i would try to write every 2weeks or at least once a month with some post using Malay to improve my language. It's hard to start a new life, but Insyallah i won't give up. Assalamualaikum...

Domo Arigatou

Salam, because of all sort of things, i forgot about my blog. It was already the end of semester. Well, let just summarize what i have been doing this sem. First , i went for a camp under YADIM in Lakeview Training Centre, it was a really cool place. I got to meet new friends from Politeknik Melaka and Unikl Miat. Hope i could still get in touch with them. Then, later attending the Grooming course organized by MRC, well, i just want to kill my time. Next, i had my LS presentation, not bad...although i knew i could do better. I had the opportunity to dissect the rat twice, ^_^, really enjoy it. I visited Gombak campus for the first time, got to meet K.Abeir, K.Kim and other. Arigatou! Not to forget, Mdm Noorhafizah Omar for inviting us to her brother's wedding ceremony. The food was delicious! Overall, many good things happened to me in this semester. Thanx to Mdm Hafizah, Mdm Zahala for your lesson. Also for all my friends, domo arigatou! Hopefully all my wish would come true and may Allah bless me for the next sem. Syukran.

Semester 3

It's only 2 week after the semester opened, but so much work to be done. This week i had settle my individual presentation and i have my English LVL 6 exam this Saturday. Besides, my schedule for the upcoming weeks are: Next week, listening test, time-in class essay,10Mei-MUET, 11Mei-Grading for my green belt, 12Mei-Speaking Test for MUET,24Mei-Final exam for English, 5June-Final exam for my Biology Lab,3June- EPT-hopefully i could pass with flying colours According to the iium standard, EPT and LVL 6 would be tougher that MUET! What a crap! But hey, i would do my best and let Allah do the rest for me..Insyallah...!!

End Of Semester 2

Well, yesterday was the last day for this Sem. The next semester would be short sem, my 3rd sem of my first year here. I'll be taking Bio Lab 1 and English Level 6. Hopefully i could improve more and apart from that, i want to increase my stamina and fitness. Karate really help me a lot. Had holiday only for 3 weeks, but i would tried make it worthy.

Times Square

Last Saturday,we went to Times. We went by bus and stop at KL Central and took the monorail to Imbi. The Cosmo World were at Level 7. Haha...i didn't know why but it really remind me of the game FF VII where Cloud and friends went to Gold Saucer. The paid was RM35 as it was holiday and it' the rate for adult.

The first game we played was the ..i didn't know the name but it was quite closed to the DNA Missile. Next we went to Dizzy Izzy, nice..very nice. Well then we went to the Kids place. Then we played another games. Lastly, only 2 left . We decide to play the DNA Missile which Bi said she will never played it again. Then the game started, arghh! Oh My, i felt like being turned upside down like a washing machine. It's crazy man! Then, lastly we ride the Roller Coaster! Although it was only for a few minutes, i felt the thrill.

Then after performed prayer, we ate at McD. WHAT! Now i get it. That's how it looked. Scary though. From the place we ate, the Cosmo World was just in front of us and we can see how the Roller Coaster really looked like. Oh my God!

After that, we went to Lowyat to find some DVD-R. I was really happy because there's so much things that i can find there. Then we head back to PJ. Oh forgot to mention, we did go for Bowling, Car Racing and Sushi King. Thought i will sleep early? Nah! Everyone went to sleep but me , continue watching Gokusen. Haha..

AGD Hisbah

Well, it's time for the AGD , i didn't realized that it was almost the end of semester. Then, there will be a short sem and another 2 sem for me and also I'll be having my MUET this year. Ok back to the AGD, the theme was white and blue. While the committee were wearing red!

The AGD started with the recitation of Doa and some speech by the MC, President of Hisbah and Fellow. I really thought that we were really going to eat after that but unfortunately the food wasn't arrived yet so the Nasyeed will be performed first. Hey nice rap ! They sang OST Hikmah and Ku Berlari. They really heat the nite.

Then finally, the food had arrived! After enjoyed ourselves, we were entertained by some slide shows. I really glad that i have the opportunity to be here and to be with all the people around me. All this two sem had really taught me a lot of new things, from the old me to the new me, i didn't realized...i have grown up...

PERNIM-Charity Dinner

The night was awesome,each table had at least 2 childrens from PERNIM. I got Utih and Syukor. Although Syukor was quite but he was very nice. Utih is very naughty but i love both of them. The night started with recitation of Doa' and speech from the Presiden of PERNIM. Then special performance from Iq-Niq. Nice song by the way. The food was ok. There's nothing much to say but i'm glad that i've came, it's very fun to have the opportunity to play and talk with them. Kak Syima was pretty, so did Hani, haha......!! I'll asked them angpow when they got married in the future, when? Who know! Haha...i just love to tease them....

LEADTRAIN

I don't even know how to start this post. The Leadtrain was,...err...last week, some of the students had done it. This week it was for the pre-medical, pharmacy,dentistry and engineering students. The students were majority from engineering and only minority were the medcy students but it didn't matter. I won't said anything bad about the engineering students except that maybe they just being too excited, that's all. For the programme, i personally think the committee had done their best. Well, all the good came from Allah and the bad came ourselves.

The programmed was held on 2nd and 3rd February 2008. It started with the registration process , talk 1 and group discussion 1. At night there was another talk. Then, the next morning, at 4am, i have to wake up early to do ' qiamulail berjemaah' at the mosque. I was very sleepy...gosh! Then , at 7am group discussion 2 and 3. Later on the closing ceremony and it ended at 2pm.

My group, 42, was called ENPHARDIC, cool name huh? Combination of Engineering,Pharmacy and Medic. There were 8 sisters and 8 brothers. The brothers were all engineering students. If i was not mistaken, some of them were ain, nadia, liyana, fatinnah,hafizah,tuty and mastura.
Our faci was from Gombak taking Ben, very cool and sporting, the best faci i ever had. The first day we had to think of our group name and trademark, second day, we're playing the 'The Lost Causes' and 'First Impression'.

Unfortunately, no gimmic this week, as for last week i heard there were some gimmic by the Seni Silat Society.Overall, the programme was ok, i enjoyed myself and had new friends.

SMAC-Sports&Martial Arts Carnival

There were lot of activities, from the opening ceremony, warriors night, srikandi's night, free-fight tournament, sports competition such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, futsal, and lot more !!! It's been a week since the SMAC, so i kinda of forgot the event was because of all the activities going on, i meant, everyday there's different events held.

Fall down the stairs

Last tuesday i sprained my ankle, i fall from the stairs. I thought that i left something in the library, so i speed up real fast(i meant really, really fast) because i worried i will lost it. Just when i went down the stairs with high speed, i fall. I quickly got up but then after 2 steps, i fall again. Luckly, Alia passed by, she helped me to go all the way to the library and picked up my things there. What a relief!

But then, there's a problem, i can't walk right. I need to jump and i can't made my leg straight. It's difficult to walk, and to get bath also, need to stand with only one leg, gosh! Tomorrow is Bio quiz, but i'm not prepared.

After the quiz, i went to register for muet. Then had to went to the clinic to check my ankle. The doctor send me to Daya Clinic to do some x-ray, to make sure there's nothing serious with my ankle. Alhamdulillah, no serius injury although i hurt the bone.

Went back to cfs, get my medicine and MC letter. I missed my F.ain, Chemistry and Reading classes. Actually had to attend the course for the VCS this weekend but in this case, i can't. So,as fahmy said, automatically i lost my status as the VCS member, very ironic but i guess it's just my fate, " Tiada rezeki". At 6pm, went back home, my parent fetched me. Reached home almost 1opm, after taking bath, went to online for a while and then went to sleep.

Raya Haji

Assalamualaikum, firstly i wanted to wish all the muslims Happy Eid-ul Adha! Also to my family and friends. Right now i'm having my holiday for a week. But after that, many things have to be done. The mid semester exam was just around the corner so have to be alert! I need to study harder in my study, my training and other things. The grading will be in February, so need to prepare. My exam will be in January, also need to prepare.

Flood In Pahang

Oh my, the rain had caused flood in my hometown, and it's getting worsen.The rain was heavier and the water level had increased. It was unusual to know that my hometown was also experience the same because it never happened except for the lower part of the city but now all the shop had to be closed and my mom can't go to work because the road in front of our house was full with water.

RAFEST-Raudah Festival

The festival was awesome, lot of activities, performances, competitions, and more. Unfortunately i didn't really participate coz i'm too bz with my studies, truly i was a bit amazed coz it's only the 3rd week but there's just so much activities. i can't imagine towards the mid sem, there will be even more activities. Need to study for the quiz,tutorial and bla bla bla.....Next week is holiday, yeah! Raya Haji is coming soon..finally i can have some rest. Next event was macfest.

Semester 2

New semester had begun, there are few things that I missed. The room looked the same but it felt different. Got new roommates and surprisingly all of them were seniors and foreigners. Well, this was new thing for me. This whole semester will be a new journey for me. As usual, it’s time to get my timetable and group done. It seemed that I will be under a lot of pressure this sem. But surely that just what it is, huh! A lot of activities had just started a sem 2 was just crazy, a lot of activities and a lot of fun things to do. ^_^

Farewell

Sem 1 had ended. Let bygone be bygone. Although i'm pretty sad about the farewell but life must go on. We had to part away, 3 will be in PJ and 3 will be in Nilai, 1 who still undecided,I'ts sucks, i missed them!!!!

AC ### CFS IIUM 2007 In memories!!

1st Merdeka Celebration in CFSIIUM

The Merdeka Celebaration was organized by the LEADTRAIN committee. The first programmed was Dikir Barat followed by the performance by the winner of the Patriotic Song Competition,PLAIN. All of them were AED students. They sung two songs, Nur Syahadah and Warisan. Great delivered i thought. Later on, followed by the MERDEKA shout by all the students. We sang few songs such as Negaraku, Jalur Gemilang, Wawasan 2020 and Tanggal 31. There was another activity in the next morning which was A Run to remember specially organized for MERDEKA.

Global Player Development Programme

Yet, another programmed organized by CFSIIUM,Besides Pharmacy, there were also students from AED, BEN, LAW and ALLHS. I was in the group 38. The programmed started after zuhur prayer. The first activities was a talk about “Towards Achieving Towering Personality of Glocal Standard Obstacles and Challenges” then followed by the second talk” The Challenges of Globalization &Internationalization.

After Asar prayer, I’m having my first group discussion. Some of them were Nadia, Munirah, Hazirah, Afiq, Shafiq, Filani and others. Our facilitator was Kak Farhana, she’s taking LLBS. The activities held were a group discussion about survival and there were some debate among the two groups which I personally think was exciting. After Maghrib prayer, we continued with our group discussion 2.

The next morning,we proceed with our next activities, the last talk” The Hallmark of Excellent Students”. The talk was somehow motivating and I’m did not bored at all. The talk delivered by former engineering student of IIUM. Next was the last group discussion. We’re playing the ‘Joni Game’, ‘The Key’ and the ‘Act and Ignore’.

Taaruf Week

The first exam was the EPT and APT which will be used to determine the level of profiency of the students. I had the exam in LY. The place was as cold as ice. I was hardly open my eye.

26th June 2007, we had an introduction to the Academic Services, Student Services and Finance Department at Al-Malik Faisal Hall. What a bored brief. At 2.00pm we had campus tour guided by the senior.Later on we proceed to the group dynamic activities. The committee in charge for my group was Kak Iman. We’re having ice breaking. As usual, we practice CFS Song and Ba’iah. After long and tiring day, finally some entertainment for us! The Cultural Night! There were musical drama and KASYFI was the guest for the night. Their songs were great.

27th June 2007, we’re having the Department Briefing and later in the evening, the Smart Card Photography session and group dynamic. This time we’re playing the Pang Ping Piau Bing Bang game. Each time, the same group lost and they had to be punished.At night, we were having another brief, introduction to the Centre for Foundation Studies and Motivational Talk. For some reason, this talk was somehow interesting.

28th June 2007, it was the closing ceremony. It was great, the mascot was cute and the balloons were awesome.

29th June 2007, Fardhu Ain Placement Test and Computer Exemption Test. At least the week had come to an end. Well…Centre For Foundation Studies of International Islamic University Malaysia, here I COME…!!!!!!

First Impression

First day arrived , proceed with my registration process. Gosh! A lot of students...!! Mostly the students were from pre-medical, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, allied health science, physical science, biological science,ict and law programme.

What a relief, the registration was over,its time to look at the hostel. Not bad, i guessed... They were eight of us in the room. Five of them were laws, two were allied health science and a student of physical science.First time staying in hostel, kinda odd but hopefully I could adapted to it. The engineering students will be here this evening. At night, we’re having briefing for Language Profiency Requirement, Placement Test, Computer Exemption Test and Fardhu Ain Test. The briefing was interesting but I was too sleepy..

Next morning, students from Economics, Human Sciences and Bar courses had arrived. ! As they registered,we were practicing the CFS song and Ba'iah. After Zuhur prayer, we had the Counseling Outreach and Discipline and Welfare briefing.On the same time, students from IRK, BEN and AED had arrived!Tomorrow, the Taaruf Week will begin.
